Itaewon is one of the hottest places in Seoul and especially easy to access for foreigners in Korea, as lot of the embassies are located in the Hannamdong Area (where Itaewon is) and also the US Yongsang Garrison Base is located near to Itaewon.
After a recommendation from a friend where we could get a good burger in companion with 2 little kids, NY B&B was our choice, as it was big enough to get the whole family in.
The prices are here a bit high, but in Hannamdong you normally get used to it. It is about 13-15USD for a single burger.
Our choice was “The Wasaaabi????” and the “Uptown Girl” and we ordered it as set with french fries and a soft drink.

The Wasaaabi Burger had, as the name claims, a self made Wasabi sauce and it was surprisingly good. As a lover of good spice and enjoying it always a bit spicy the taste of the Wasabi burger was not too heavily concentrated on the hotness of the Wasabi but gave the whole burger a great chemistry of flavors. I have to mention that I don`t like wasabi nuts or wasabi crackers. But this genuine self made sauce from NYB&B was a great success.
The Uptown Girl Burger includes a half Avocado in it and had a fresh and meaty flavor. It is a genuine tasty burger, but after having the Wasabi Burger I have to admit that the Wasabi was my favorite.
After speaking with the owner Mark Kim, who is actually from New York, he explained that he is using the highest grade of US beef which explains the great taste of the patty. The place is only 2 years old and I personally hope that it will be further successful in this difficult Hannamdong area.
Recommendation : Will visit again and great for someone who is looking for a great burger.
