1주일 정도면 새로운 래더방식 적용해서 그때 KR 토너먼트 시작하려고 했으나, 도저히 기다리지 못하겠네요. 아이들 아직 자고 있는 틈을 타서 후딱 글 올려드립니다.

이번에도 룰은 살짝 바뀝니다. 참여해보신 분들은 익숙하실듯.

As we know Steemhunt is planning to launch a Kickstarter like service on the top of the current Steemhunt community. A short overview of their vision can be found here.

A point mentioned from @project7 at @steemfest was regarding Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) combining it with a crowdfunding platform. I want to dive deeper into this.

1. Ideahunt the Crowdfunding platform

As Steemhunt is already full of hunters looking the whole time for cool and new products, it would be an ideal place for brands and founders to laser-target their audience and launch the product for crowdfunding on Ideahunt. A co-marketing campaign on Reviewhunt could also be helpful to push the marketing further into a success case. Compared to other crowdfunding platforms, it could be possible that the products would be limited to the category Steemhunt is covering, but that is another story. I would personally see a huge potential not only for gadgets but also for digital products like games, e-publishing, e-art, etc. Steem has already a crowdfunding platform named fundition.io, and fundings like @steemmonsters have been successful there. I think the differentiation would be that fundition.io is covering different categories like charity or education, which would not be the focus for Steemhunt.

2. What is a Non-Fungible Token?


The easiest example for Steemians is @steemmonsters. For Non-Steemians Crypto Kitties could be easier to understand the concept of Non-Fungible Tokens, so-called NFT. Fungible Tokens are like Bitcoins or Ether. Every single Bitcoin has the same value as another Bitcoin. For Steemmonsters or Crypto Kitties, the value of each card or Kitty is unique and thus not interchangeable. Wiki Explanation. One of the interesting parts for NFT is that the value of each token can vary over the time from each other.

3. Steemhunts NFT for Ideahunt

 [Disclaimer : this is just a personal imagination for a NFT]

The easiest way for an NFT is to issue a visual look, which differs from other NFTs. For Ideahunt this could be the crowdfunding itself with final data’s of the crowdfunding. All this kind of data must be written on the blockchain to keep the card data unchanged. What would be needed for an NFT combined with Ideahunt would be like the following:

a. DEX

HUNT tokens can be traded to Steem or SBD on a DEX when SMT will be launched. For Ideahunt NFT Steemhunt needs to create a separate DEX (Decentralized Exchange) from the very beginning to make it possible to trade, sell or buy these NFTs. Additionally, a gifting option would be needed to be able to transfer the NFTs from one account to another.

b. DEX Value in USD

After seeing the success from Steemmonsters, one part that had been a very good decision was to sell the packs, starter packs and cards on the Steemmonsters DEX in USD and convert it internally into STEEM or SBD. This is one of the reasons that Steemmonsters cards are still very stable when Steem is on a bottom value. The Ideahunt NFT DEX should be listed in USD to have a stable value on the token. Even if the DEX itself only supports a conversion into HUNT tokens.

c. Ideahunt Value in USD

This could be controversial, but personally, I see it rather as a positive sign for makers and brands to list the products on Ideahunt in USD and convert the matching value in Hunt tokens based on the current rate. To make it easy to buy, the option for FIAT should be definitely considered with payment gateways like Stripe or Paypal.

d. Defining Types of NFTs

(1) Project Type NFT

As shown above, in the image, an NFT could be issued additionally with a perk when buying it. It could be considered to issue also the Token ID on the physical product (if the maker can do it) to bundle the NFT with the real-life product.

(2) NFT as perk itself


Limited versions of NFTs could be sold separately as a perk, or be issued with a low % when granting Project Type NFTs

4. Finding Value in NFT for Ideahunt

NFTs are normally used for crypto collectibles like Steemmonsters. The question is what could I do with an Ideahunt NFT. Normally you can either breed, combine or fight with your NFTs and gain, change or upgrade your NFTs into something else. The rarity and usefulness decide the market value. It is rather difficult to imagine something like that for the NFT from Ideahunt. But on the other hand, it is not impossible.

Steemhunt has been quite good to engage their community with gamification factors. A card game like Top Trumps where a list of numerical data are compared in each round, could be realized with the NFTs from Steemhunt. A crowdfunding has different values which differ from funding to funding and even between perks and perks.

A dice before each round could decide which parameter should be compared after the cards have been placed from all players and either winner take it all or a number of hunt tokens could be distributed for winning players.

On the other side, the Ideahunt NFT could be just used as collectibles and undermine the ownership of a limited crowdfunded product in the blockchain. In the end, the market would decide what value those NFTs have.

5. Closing

NFT and Ideahunt looks in the first moment not directly like a match. But if you look closer, it is indeed a refreshing idea. The most challenging part would be to create value not only for hunt tokens but also for Ideahunt NFT. This could be realized either with some gamification factors or giving it value as a collectible itself. We are all looking into a very bright future for Steemhunt!

제가 개인적으로 생각하는 점들을 정리하겠습니다.

• @dmytrokorol 폴란드에 있으면서 디자인을 맡고 있습니다. 풍경사진을 전문적으로 찍으시는 분입니다. ^^
• @jarvie는 제가 피크몬때문에 가장 자주 대화를 하는 친구입니다. 비즈니스적으로 아이디어가 많고 개선사항이나 사용성에 대한 아이디어를 집합해서 스팀픽이나 피크몬에 적용하는것을 추진합니다. 피크몬KR도 이분의 도움으로 현실화가 될 수 있었습니다.

Hello, everyone, my name is Young Hwi, but my Steemit name is @project7, so probably it’s much easier for you guys to call me project7. I’m a designer and co-founder of Steemhunt.

I hope that many of you here already know what Steemhunt is but for those who don’t know much about it I like to give a very brief introduction about what Steemhunt is. So basically, Steemhunt is a community with a bunch of geeky techy people, who share some cool new innovative tech products and then compete with others like, “hey who did share the cooler and newer stuff than others” and later on a daily basis there’s a ranking chart created and curated by all the techy people. This has been a very successful community so far because of all the support from Steemians. Thank you very very much for all that support!

I want to show that the most important part of Steemhunt’s value is that we don’t want to create just a good community. There are already a lot of great communities in Steemit. But we want to utilize those community forces to be an asset. You guys are great users in that community, but probably someone else wants to use that as an asset.

Lots of platforms just utilized it for advertisement or display ads. This is also good, but it can be much better. So that’s why we invented the Hunt token economy, that promotes both sites, hunters, and makers. Who wants to utilize hunters force as an asset, hunts token will be rewarded to those hunters activities, so hunters keep sharing cool new innovative stuff constantly. That will promote more traffic outside of the Steemit community and will also attract all the makers and companies. If a maker wants to utilize the forces from hunters to boost up marketing, then they’re going to invite more and more users into the Hunt platform. That’s going to reward hunters what will increase more hunters actions. That results in more traffic and more makers. So this is our growth vehicle, and that will make us different from all the others.

That’s why we’re creating the Hunt platform. We’re not going just to staying as a Steemhunt community, but we’re creating Ideahunt and Reviewhunt on top of the Steemhunt community. We are already working on Reviewhunt, and the target launch will be April next year. Hunters always dig out new stuff, and they have a lot of knowledge about tech products. Some makers want to utilize their force to boost up their new product launching. They can suggest a large discount deal for hunters or they can give Hunt (token) rewards to them. Hunters will then check the products, and they’re going to create very high-quality reviews for them.

The biggest benefit for the makers to utilize our platform is that they can involve all the hunters as users. Anyone who was involved in an early startup knows how painful it is to get high-quality users in the very initial stage. This is going to be a very strong platform for those innovative makers who want access to that kind of high-quality content.

Idea hunt is the last milestone in our roadmap. But we strongly believe that this is going to be a game changer as a crowdfunding platform. Ideahunt is a crowdfunding platform on top of the Steemhunt community. We’ve noticed that current crowdfunding platforms have a major issue, especially Kickstarter. An example, if you backed a project and you need to pay right away. Then you wait until the product is shipped or not. You forget about that. We don’t think that this is efficient. If you back a project then you have to increase the value of the product even before they launched. At this moment we can’t disclose all the details but we are going to introduce it very soon. One point is that we are going to utilize Non-fungible token (NFT) transactions for Ideahunt. With NFT an increase of the backer’s actions can increase the value of the new product launch. This is going to be a real game changer in this industry.

Our ambitious plan requires to have lots of strong users. That’s why we initiated a quite unique way of distributing our Hunt token. By distributing 50% of airdrops. The core idea of this plan is that we want to connect token holders to be the users. Lots of ICO’s are based on the fact that token holders are just investors. They’re not likely to be connected to be a user. That’s not what we wanted to do. So that’s why we have a very unique token distribution. Still, around 24% is distributed, so there is plenty of chance to join this airdrop.

We also started a witness node a month ago with an ambitious mission as a witness. We want to make the Steem Blockchain a place that is favorable for Dapps and SMT’s. Then we can invite a lot of companies to be there. So please support us here. When we approach the market for HUNT tokens, we also want to approach the SMT wide protocol. Final goal would be that SMT tokens can be listed together. This is our aim.

We have some interesting news today as we are discussing with DAYBIT, which is a recently launched exchange market, but already almost in the top 15 level, globally. We all know different kind of cloud systems like dropbox, box, google drive, etc. Sometimes it does comes to your mind what happens with your data if these services are not accessable anymore.

One alternative is to buy a NAS and another one is to use a software to make your PC an accessible cloud server.

There are different system on the market and one of them have been introduced here

Seafile is an enterprise file hosting service but also available as Open Source community version.

Server is available for Linux and Windows (and Raspberry Pi) and Clients for different Desktop OS’s and also for Android and iOS. A syncing client is also available for Mac and Windows.

There are different ways to earn Hunt Coins, but one of the most effective ones is spreading the news about Steemhunt outside of Steem. I would like to show an effective method without having already a ton of followers on platforms but still be able to generate traffic and earn Hunt Coins.

1. What is the Social Airdrop?

Steemhunt started about two months ago an airdrop which is concentrating on social media platforms driving traffic to Steemhunt from outside the Steem economy. The core of this share is to share cool Hunts hunted by hunters and spread them to your followers like Facebook, Twitter, etc.

2. Finding the right spot


A difficulty is, if you don`t really have a large follower base established on different platforms. Otherwise just sharing a link into any forum, platform, etc. is actually spamming it and not welcomed at that platform.

If you are good at it, you could also try to create a new facebook group concentrating on gadgets and cool stuff and use the Steemhunt links for that group. This will have definitely a larger effect on a long way but I found an effective way without disturbing the platform itself but using the mechanism of it. It is Pinterest.

3. How I did it

I’ve created a separate account which has the same name as my Steem name and created different boards with themes that could relate to products hunted on Steemhunt. I came up with special watches, drones, E-bikes, Innovative houses, etc. You could expand these boards with more categories from Steemhunt. Each board includes about 20-25 hunts from Steemhunt.

An important part creating this boards was to keep an eye on the thumbnail from the hunt, as Pinterest is a very visual platform.

As you can see this account is quite new and I have actually no followers at all, but I still get from time to time some traffic send to Steemhunt from these few boards. So how does it come that I could create traffic without even having any followers? It is because of the mechanism of Pinterest. If a user of Pinterest finds a so-called “Pin” good, they can pin it also in one of their boards. And if that user has followers, they would see this new pin in their stream. In that way, I can leverage my posting with the follower power of another user.


If you would be a better curator on Pinterest than me, this effect could very fast double and triple, as you could get also your own followers.


I don’t get social share rewards on a daily basis, more once a week or so but due to the fact that the boards will still exist when I don`t touch them, it is a good source of traffic. Of course, the boards would have more success when I will start to increase the numbers of boards, categories, and frequency of update.

Finding interesting board themes can be achieved also with the tools you have at Steemhunt. Click on one of the tags and you will find how many products they are, the ranking and also related tags. Based on that you can recheck on Pinterest if that could be of interest for users there.


4. Social Airdrop is Hunters Level related

A few days ago Steemhunt decided to apply hunter level-based weights on the effective counts from the traffic lead by social shares. The main reason is that there have been abusing (as always) accounts milking the airdrop. This means it is definitely an advantage when you are an active Hunter on Steemhunt.
